The trip will allow visitors to study the internal structure of the chloroplast in the plant cell, witness the photosynthetic process in action, and learn more about how color is seen. Your task is to plan, develop, and promote a trip to the plant cell with the intention of highlighting the importance of plants to humans. There are three types of tasks:
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Specialist Task Each specialist on your team will have a specific job to complete for the project. Decide which specialties each group member will have based on the descriptions below: Cartographer (map maker) Create a map of the areas that visitors will see on their trip. The map will include important structures within the cell and the chloroplast, and will provide a key that describes what happens in each location. Travel agent Provide an itinerary of the trip that describes (in detail) the events and occurrences that will take place during each day of the tour. The itinerary will be published in a brochure created through the Publisher software. Tour Guide Write a tour script leading tourists through the light and dark reactions. Your script will give information about events and occurences that are seen during the tour. The campaign should provide detail about what tourists will see in each part of the trip. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Individual Task: Persuasive Essay In addition to your specific tasks and the group advertising campaign, each student will conclude the unit with a persuasive essay on the importance of photosynthesis.
