Biography:
World History and World Geography Teacher. Head Wrestling Coach. Has had 7 individual state champions. As a team, has placed 7 times in the top ten at the TSSAA Championships. Has won four District Championships and one Regional Championship. Won Best Wrestling Coach from the Chattanooga News Free Press in 2000. This included all of Southeast Tennessee and North Georgia. Head Middle School Football Coach. Has won one HCAC football championship. Voted as HCAC Coach of the year. Assistant Wrestling Middle School Coach. Has won three HCAC Middle School Championships.Teaching experience: Started in the education business in January of 1989 at Tyner High school after four years active duty in the United States Marine Corps. Earned Good Conduct Medal and was attached to the USS Carl Vinson in Alameda California. Special Weapons Security. Attached to 3rd Battalion 5th Marines at Camp Pendleton California.Honorable Discharge and served two years in the USMC Reserves.Started teaching at East Ridge Middle School in August of 1994. Started teaching at East Ridge High School in August of 1997. Received B.S. in Secondary Education (Social Sciences) from University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. Minor in Mathematics from U.T.C. Working on Graduate Degree in Instructional Leadership from Tennessee Tech University. Expected to graduate in August of 2005. All-Marine Wrestling Team from 1985-1988. Qualified for the 1988 Greco Roman Olympic Trials. In 1987 won the Military East Coast Karate Championships.
