Cadet Battalion Staff
My name is Christian Patterson, and to you guys I am the Battalion Commander of this JROTC program. Oh, and I hold the rank of cadet Lieutenant Colonel as well. I’ll do my best to sound modest, but my job in the battalion is the most important – just saying. I am held responsible for everything we do or fail to do. My purpose is to provide the knowledge and motivation to my fellow leaders so that they teach you guys (and ladies) a lot of useful stuff; honestly, I couldn’t do it without them. Also, I have the honor of being the Raider Team Commander (come check us out by the way). When I’m not rocking the whole ROTC thing, you can most likely find me helping the faculty around the school or studying hard at the books for AP English. On an off-note, I enjoy fishing, good food, and just about anything that keeps me active. Believe it or not, I’m a real nice guy. Whenever you see me around, don’t hesitate to introduce yourself or say “what’s up.”
My name is Cadet Major Justin Young; I am the 2012-2013, Pioneers Battalion Executive Officer (X/O). I am currently the office aide to the Administration of East Ridge High School. I am also, Secretary of the Senior Class. My hobbies include: swimming, country music, and attending concerts. One thing that I love to do more than anything is sing.
My name is Cadet Zackary Bailey I am the battalion S-1. I take care of the battalion’s paperwork form personnel to awards. My job is important because I keep track of all of the paperwork that belongs to the battalion. My hobbies are driving my car and hanging out with friends. I am from South Carolina and plan to major in marine biology when I am done with college.
I am Cadet Captain Mason Robinson. I am the battalion S-2. My job is the security personnel officer. I make sure that all sensitive items in the JROTC building are there, and make sure all of our planned events are carried out safely. Interesting facts about me are that I am the youngest of the staff and I am from Ohio.
My name is Chase Bradley. I currently am the battalion S-3. My job includes putting together the battalion’s training schedule which will be posted in the range. Outside of J.R.O.T.C., I am a soldier in the United States Army. I am currently a PFC (Private First Class) and am serving as a 19D which is a Cavalry Scout. I deal with reconnaissance. I scout out areas so that we know what is ahead of us. Have a great year and JOIN RAIDERS!
My name is C/CPT Salim Elasmar. I’m the Battalion S-4 and the Rifle Team Commander. As S-4, my job entails the organization and distribution of supply items to the entire battalion. Without me, cadets would not get their uniforms. I am also the Senior class Vice President and Co-Founder of the ERHS Mock Trial Team. I can be found doing a plethora of different activities such as skiing, camping, reading, and even playing video games!
Hello. My name is Joshua Lambert. I am the Battalion S-5 in the East Ridge JROTC program. My job includes making the Cadet Gazette (which you are currently reading), putting together the JROTC scrapbook for the year, and keeping a record of all the paperwork so future cadets can see what we have done throughout the year. A few interesting facts about me: I am on the JROTC Rifle Team, I take honors classes, I currently work at Long John Silver’s/A&W, I love sports and video games, I am from Arkansas, and I like long walks on the beach. I like to have fun and joke around, but when it comes to JROTC I am serious and responsible. Feel free to ask me anything whenever you might see me, and I hope you have a great year.
Hello! My name is c/CPT Keyanee Dillard. I am the Battalion S-6. This means that I am the Communication Officer. My job is to communicate (go figure), advertise, and make sure the battalion (that means you) knows about the upcoming events and opportunities. I believe my job is important because communication is the key to successful organization. I’m not only crazy about J.R.O.T.C., I work hard daily to achieve scholastic excellence in my classes. I am the President of the Senior class. I run a number of clubs including: Art Club, Literacy Club, Book Club, and SGA. I also work at Teriyaki of Japan, so come and see me. In my free time (like I have any) (lol), I love to sleep, read books, and play Sudoku. I have two dogs and a bird. And I LOVE Japan!
My name is Alex Galindo and I am the one and only c/Command Sergeant Major of the battalion. My job is to take care of the enlisted (Lower Classmen), but I mostly work with the First Sergeants. Some of my duties include making sure the First Sergeants know how to complete all of their duties, manage our national flag, and help out where I am needed. My hobbies are playing video games, running, and just relaxing whenever possible. Some things you might not know are that I am 100% Mexican, but can't hold a Spanish conversation, and that I was born in San Diego, California. If you want to know more, just look for me. I'm always around.
