Cadet Battalion Staff

Christian Patterson

My name is Christian Patterson, and to you guys I am the Battalion Commander of this JROTC program. Oh, and I hold the rank of cadet Lieutenant Colonel as well. I’ll do my best to sound modest, but my job in the battalion is the most important – just saying. I am held responsible for everything we do or fail to do. My purpose is to provide the knowledge and motivation to my fellow leaders so that they teach you guys (and ladies) a lot of useful stuff; honestly, I couldn’t do it without them. Also, I have the honor of being the Raider Team Commander (come check us out by the way). When I’m not rocking the whole ROTC thing, you can most likely find me helping the faculty around the school or studying hard at the books for AP English. On an off-note, I enjoy fishing, good food, and just about anything that keeps me active. Believe it or not, I’m a real nice guy. Whenever you see me around, don’t hesitate to introduce yourself or say “what’s up.”

Without me, cadets would not get their uniforms. I am also the Senior class Vice President and Co-Founder of the ERHS Mock Trial Team. I can be found doing a plethora of different activities such as skiing, camping, reading, and even playing video games!

Joshua Lambert

Hello. My name is Joshua Lambert. I am the Battalion S-5 in the East Ridge JROTC program. My job includes making the Cadet Gazette (which you are currently reading), putting together the JROTC scrapbook for the year, and keeping a record of all the paperwork so future cadets can see what we have done throughout the year. A few interesting facts about me: I am on the JROTC Rifle Team, I take honors classes, I currently work at Long John Silver’s/A&W, I love sports and video games, I am from Arkansas, and I like long walks on the beach. I like to have fun and joke around, but when it comes to JROTC I am serious and responsible. Feel free to ask me anything whenever you might see me, and I hope you have a great year.

My job is to communicate (go figure), advertise, and make sure the battalion (that means you) knows about the upcoming events and opportunities. I believe my job is important because communication is the key to successful organization. I’m not only crazy about J.R.O.T.C., I work hard daily to achieve scholastic excellence in my classes. I am the President of the Senior class. I run a number of clubs including: Art Club, Literacy Club, Book Club, and SGA. I also work at Teriyaki of Japan, so come and see me. Some of my duties include making sure the First Sergeants know how to complete all of their duties, manage our national flag, and help out where I am needed. My hobbies are playing video games, running, and just relaxing whenever possible. Some things you might not know are that I am 100% Mexican, but can't hold a Spanish conversation, and that I was born in San Diego, California. If you want to know more, just look for me. I'm always around.
