Colonel Christopher

Colonel Christopher was born and raised in Morton, Mississippi. He entered the Army after graduation from the University of Southern Mississippi's R.O.T.C. program as a Distinguished Military Graduate, then served the military for 27 years before retiring and becoming the SAI of East Ridge High School. Colonel Christopher served in many different positions such as: Platoon Leader, Executive Officer, Company Commander, Battalion Commander, Plans and Operations Officer, Battery Commander, Nuclear Security Officer, Senior Army Advisor to the state of Oklahoma, and presently the S.A.I. at E.R.H.S.

 

Command Sergant Major Monroe

 

Command Sergeant Major Bonza L. Monroe entered the Army in and served as a Drill Instructor, Human Resource Manager, Senior Career Advisor Manager, Operations Manager and a Personal Training Manager for the U.S. Army until 1998 when he retired from the service. He then became the Command Sergeant Major at East Ridge High School. CSM Monroe teaches the freshmen class basic LET information futher preparing them for upcoming years in JROTC. CSM Monroe also has a Bacheor of Science in Criminal Justice and an Associate of Science in Law Enforcement. The Pioneer Battalion is proud to have such an accomplished leader at E.R.H.S.

 

First Sergeant Mitchell

 

First Sergeant Mitchell graduated from Spartman High School in 1983. He was a cook in the Army. He served 21 years Active Duty and fours yeard in the Army National Guard. He was a JROTC instructor at Red Bank High School for tow years and came to East Ridge High School in September of 2009 where is now the LET 3 and 4 instructor.
