Ronald McDonald House
Each year the Pioneer Battalion helps out the Ronald McDonald House (which helps with by creating, finding and supporting programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children) with their annual festival which is a fund raiser to raise money for children. We help run the events and games that the children play and try to promote more community activity in helping others that may not be as privileged as we are.
Community Blood Drives
Each year the Pioneer Battalion sponsors bi-annual blood drives for the community. We invite all to come donate blood to help those in hospitals that may need certain types of blood that they may not have access to. The Pioneer Battalion holds this drive at our JROTC building at our school. We usually have about 120 to 150 pints of blood donated each donation period. We hope to continue helping Blood Assurance by donating blood for the community next year, and for many years to come.
Brainerd Indian Cemetary (Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution)
Each year the battalion assist the Sons and Daughters of the American Revolution in the upkeep of the Brainerd Indian Cemetary, a national Historical Monument. Cadets routinely change out the National Flag and Tennessee Flag in a dedication ceremony.
9-11 Remembrance Ceremony
The Pioneer Battalion plans and conducts a September 11th ceremony each year to honor those that perished in the 9-11 tradgedy. The community is invited to participate in this solemn event.
